Why we started this

We started Attic Panda after watching the same story repeat across Calgary: homeowners quoted vague "up to 40% savings," attics blown thin to hit a price, nobody measuring anything, and rebate advice that was two years out of date. Insulation is one of the simplest trades there is — which means there's no excuse for doing it vaguely.

So we built the company around a simple idea: treat the customer like they can read. Publish the price. Show the savings math, even when it's modest. Photograph the depth. Keep the rebates page current. And when a job isn't worth doing, say so and leave.

The Attic Panda standard

• Published pricing — from $1.65/ft² to R-50; the website number is the quote number.
• Ruler-photo proof — depth markers and corner-to-corner photos, before and after. You keep them.
• Vermiculite screen on every pre-1990 attic before anything is disturbed.
• Ventilation never sacrificed — baffles and clear soffits are part of the job, not an extra.
• Program paperwork included — CEIP for homeowners, On-Farm Efficiency Program files for producers.
• Biosecurity by default on every farm site.
• Insured & WCB covered — clearance letter available on request, like any serious contractor.

The panda thing

Pandas are round, calm, and extremely good at exactly one thing. That's the whole business model. We top up attics — we don't do roofing, windows, or "while we're up here" upsells. Being a specialist is why the job takes three hours, why the price is predictable, and why we're comfortable showing you the math.
